Halloween Fun

Halloween this year was about 2 weeks for us! We had our Ward Trunk or Treat on the 21st and then the week of Halloween, we carved pumpkins, the kids went to a halloween party and then on halloween, we went to Bashas, my mom's trunk or treat and my in law's trunk or treat! So needless to say, the kids had a great time getting all the candy! It was a fun time! Our 3 cuties!

Our costumes! Nate was too funny! I had put a sticky jewel on my nose and pretended to have a nose ring! I got asked soo many times if it was real! It was way too funny to think that i would even do that! It was bugging me all night and it sure was fun to freak people out!

Scott had this idea that he wanted Dry Ice to make it foggy around our trunk, so we got some and I carved the ghost pumpkin and put it next to it! it was a lot of fun!

The ward's Trunk or Treat

We had the kids draw the faces and then we carved them!

Our little pumpkins!

Scott wanted to try on Lexi's costume! He will hate that picture when he is dating! :)

Decorating the cake! It was awesome!

Aunt Pammie came and joined us for a little bit!

Okay, so this picture is in here because we went to Bashas for a couple of things they were doing for Halloween and we saw this HUGE doughnut! I had to get a picture! Could you imagine even eating that????
Playing games
At my parents Trunk or Treat, Lexi saw these girls dressed as Lady Bugs, and since she was a ladybug, she wanted to go and talk to them! It was sooo cute that I had to get a picture!

Hayride (nate and I tricked Aunt Pammie and Mamaw! Once they got on, we didn't!)

Scott got his face painted at the Trunk or Treat!

Thanks to everyone who helped make the kids have a great Halloween! It was fun to hang out with everyone all day! I know I had a good time and I am sure the kids did too! They did sleep in On Sunday, so that was really nice!

The kids had fall break last week, and it was so much fun having them home! The weather was great so we were able to do a lot and all the friends were home, so it was nice to have them all play together! :) Just a warning, there are a lot of pictures, but it was so much fun! This was just cute!

Kaylee didn't like it and dropped it!

It was so strange!

Scott liked it! He did it twice!

Lexi did it twice also!

Look at all those kids!

And all of us! We are brave!

Ward Family Campout

This past weekend was our ward's first family campout! we were so excited to go! Nate got off early since it was about a 2 hour drive, and we were able to leave about 2pm. We got up there and it was already a little chilly! it was so nice to see everyone who was already there! Nate got everything set up (he doesn't like help!) and the kids played with all the other kids, and I was able to visit! it was really nice to go and relax and have a nice time! I wish I would have gotten a picture of Scott and all the girls he had to play with! it was so sweet because he didn't even seem to mind at all! It was great! He is such a good kid! :)
Kaylee got cold early and then hot...but at least she had her big jacket!

I think they were trying to make everyone fit on the log!

What a cute bunch of girls!

Nate got ahold of the camera and took A LOT pictures, so I won't put them all up, but here is one of everyone eating the wonderful breakfast the Elder's Quroum made for us! English Muffins, Sausage, Cheese, and Eggs...It was great!

Kaylee was a little monkey on the trees! It was too cute!

This I took because it was sooo sweet! Lexi was really scared to go on the log, and Audry (one of girls in the Ward) decided to help her across! It was sooo sweet!

Scott decided to take a picture of me...I don't really like this one, but it kind of reminds of how the night was! Lexi ended up having 2 accidents in the night and used up all the blankets! So, she ended up with Nate and I only had my sleeping bag. I was sooo cold! So I didn't sleep well the at night!
I can say that it was a lot of fun! We had so much talking to everyone and having a great time outside of church! The kids were able to wonder around with their friends, and we really liked it! Thank you to everyone who made it possible!

Dance is in the Air

Kaylee started dance a little bit after Lexi. She is in the 1st Grade class at the Multi Gen Center. She has been in it for the last 3 years, and she loves it! :) She is doing ballet and tap and she does a good job! They are learning and working hard! Cute little girl!
She wouldn't let me take too many pictures! Must be to that age! :)

Lexi is finally in Dance!

Lexi is finally old enough to take dance and she loves it! She is in the Preschool dance class for 3 year olds at the Multi Gen Center. She loves to put on the leotard and the ballet shoes! It is the cutest thing! :) Hopefully she continues to like it! Thanks to some good friends, she has a cute bun cover to help hold her hair in! It looks so cute on her!
And thanks to those same good friends, she has a cute dance bag to keep her ballet shoes in

cute little class! I love her teacher, Miss Sandy! She is so cute with those little ones!

Scott is Amazing!

We are so proud of Scott! He got Student of the Month in his class for the month of September! He really is doing well in school and we are so happy! :) We were told that he is at a 5th Grade Reading Level! He LOVES to read! I am happy because I know he got that from me! Nate hates to read! :) Anyway, here are some pictures of Scott when he got his award, and I couldn't help but throw in a picture of him of when he was born! :)
I took this picture as he was walking...not too bad!

Way to go Scott!

Riding the Rail to the Game!

On Saturday, September 19th, we were able to ride the "Train" to the Dbacks game! The kids were so excited! :) We got tickets from the school for a fundraiser, so the game was a lot of fun because there were so many people there! It kept the kids occupied, and Nate and I were able to talk to others and have a great time! It was so much fun! Too bad the DBacks didn't win, but I don't think the kids even notice! :)Me, Aunt Pam, and Lexi waiting on the "Train"
Kaylee and Mamaw! :)

Scott is silly...:)

I just had to share this story! We were watching "America's Funniest Home Videos" the other day, and they had some videos of people putting a rubber band on the water sprayer. Well, Scott wanted to do this to Nathan! Nathan just happened to be Home Teaching, so Scott got me everything I needed, and I put it on the sprayer. About 5 minutes later, Nate walked in. Scott was just laughing and laughing, and I was trying to figure out how to get Nate to the sink! So I asked him to wipe off the table because I had forgotten! He looked at me weird, but said okay anyway! He went over to the sink and turned on the water, and boy was he surprised!! It squirted him all over his shirt! :) Scott thought it was soooo funny! I don't think I have seen him laugh that hard in a long time! Nate just looked at us and then he laughed and laughed and told Scott he did a good job! :) It was a good joke and Scott just loved it! :)
My two guys! :) I am so lucky!

Dbacks game

Over the summer the kids did the library program "Read your way to the Ballpark." So we were finally able to use the tickets last Saturday! It turned out that our friends, the Carpenters were going that night too, so her husband got tickets for all of us! It was so much fun to go with friends! It makes the game a little more exciting! the Dbacks lost, but the kids still had a good time! This was just a cute picture!
Scott and his friend Michael!

They have this cute little batting cage for little kids! it was too cute! Kaylee is such a girl! it was too funny! She had to tell the 'Coach' she was left handed, so he moved her to the side she needed to bat on!

Lexi did a really good job! She really liked it!

Scott is just a Pro at this! :)
The kids had a really good time and I am glad we were able to go! :)

Kaylee is 6!

At 12:59am, on September 1st, 2003, Kaylee Jeanne' Mason was born! (It just happened to be Labor Day that year!) She came into the world all bright eyed and happy! It was an easy labor and she was 7lbs12ounces. We are so glad to have her in our family! On September 1st, 2009, Kaylee turned 6! I cannot believe that she is 6 already! The years sure do go fast! She is such a joy and a blessing in our lives! She loves to be cuddly and loves to just come and tell us that she loves us and wants to give us kisses! It is so awesome!
For some reason, I dont' have any pictures of Kaylee from when she was born. So these pictures are of her at a couple of months old! :)
She was NOT happy about this costume, but she loved cute!

My little girl! So pretty!

On Sat, September 5th, we had a little party for Kaylee. She only wanted girls, and let me tell you, that was fun! All the screaming and everything was soo funny!

All her little friends! So cute!

She wanted a purse cake, so I made one! It was a big hit!

I was also able to take Cupcakes to her class on her birthday, and she thought that was great!

This is Kaylee on her bithday! her grandma got her this cute little outfit! She loves it!
We love you Kaylee! Happy Birthday!

Education Week

Back in August, I had the oppurtunity to go to Ed. Week with my mom and her friends! Nate takes the WHOLE week off to stay with the kids so they aren't shuffled around. He loves to have the chance to spend more time with the kids and to see what I do every day! :) He did a good job getting them ready for school and everything! A BIG THANKS to our friend Taleen for doing Kaylee's hair every day, and also to Anita and Larry and Pam for coming out on Sunday to sit with the kids during church! I really appreciate everyone's help during that week!

I really enjoy going to Ed. Week. I like taking the marriage and family classes because that is where I am in my life! It is fun to learn new things and to just reaffirm that I am trying and doing what I need to with my marriage and my family! I did also take some good classes on dealing with the type of world we live in now. It was probably my favorite class. He talked about dealing with hurt feelings, communicating with other people correcting, and staying sane in this time. It really helped me feel better about a few things and also to be able to use the atonement in my life. I am grateful we have it and that we are able to give our burdens to Him and have it taken away.

The week started off on Sunday, Aug 16th at 6am! It was so early, but since it takes a long time to get there, we had to leave early! This was our truck we got to ride in...it was nice and I was sooo happy to have that! :)

This is all 5 of us who drove up! Jane, Bev, Nancy, mom, and me! It was nice of them to let me join their group! :) They are a bunch of funny ladies! I had a good time hearing stories all the way up!

This is Tiami, my roommate! She is another friend, and it was fun to spend time with her (well, what little time since I didn't spend a lot of time in the room!)

When you go out of town and stay at the dorms, you get to eat out a lot! this is us eating out (one of the few times!) It is always fun to go out to eat!

We were able to go out with my Uncle Tim. He is my dad's brother, and he is 4 years older than me! He was always morme of a cousin than an uncle. It was nice to spend some time with him!
This is the new Hinckley building! It is soooo beautiful! I still haven't been inside, but the outside is just gorgeous! I just had to take a picture!

My Aunt Linda was able to come up and visit for the last night. It was fun to visit with her!

And of course, this is me and my mom! This is when we were leaving and it was cold!!! But I didn't have a jacket, so I used my blanket!

This is us at this Restrurant that they always have to stop at! It was good! :)

We hit a storm on the way home, and I got a couple of pictures! The wind was blowing so hard, and it rained! It was so awesome!

And this is us when we dropped Nancy off in Cottonwood! on our way home!

Freedom..oh..I mean first day of school....:)

Preschool started last week on the 4th, but I haven't had a chance to do the pictures, so I thought I would do them with the kids! Lexi was so excited when Preschool started! She loves it! She is doing so well, and her attitude and improved at home! It helps her so much to be in preshool, and it also helps me get a few things done! She goes 3 mornings a week for 2 1/2 hours each time. Kaylee wanted to be with Lexi in the picture!
What a little cutie! She was so good on her first day!

School started today on the 12th for Scott and Kaylee. They weren't too excited, but they were a little excited! I was excited to get them in school! :) It has been a good summer, but they need the structure of school and having a good schedule. I took some pictures, and sent them over to Taleen's house to be taken to school!
Look at those faces! They were so cute! I do have to say, that I have NEVER bought Scott plaid shorts! He is 7, and I couldn't bring myself to do it. But I saw these cute shorts at Children's Place, and they were on Clearance, and I had a coupon, so I couldn't pass it up! And to make it even better, i found a shirt to match! :) Kaylee also has Plaid shorts on, but I haven't found any for Lexi yet! They all looked so cute! Scott did come and tell me that the shorts were comfortable! So I guess I did a good job!

What a bunch of cuties!

Silly smiles!

I could not get the kids to smile normal at all! I guess it was just too bright for them! :)
I don't have any pictures from them getting off the bus! The bus is usually 15-20 minutes late, so it gets hot waiting for them, and I just didn't have the camera with me!
But they told me they had a good day! Scott was a little bummed that he had homework and Kaylee didn't, but I don't think it will be that way every time! :)
It was also nice for me to be able to go to work for 2 hours without any kids at all! I love being able to work and have a little time to myself! I love my kids, and I enjoy having them around more when I have time to myself. I think it makes me a better mom! It makes me happier! :)

Air Hockey Table

Monday night, Nathan texted me and asked me if we wanted an Air Hockey Table that someone was giving away. I thought "sure, that would be cool. The kids can play with and have a good time!" So, Nate and about 4 guys brought this table into our house, and I was busy doing other things and didn't notice how BIG it was. I got up about an hour later, and COULD NOT believe how big the table was! It takes up our whole walkway behind our couch! I was so surprised! But as we thought, the kids thought it was a blast! :) They played and played! And they still play it! So, next week, while I am gone at Ed. Week, Nate is going to get it moved up stairs where there is room! I will make sure I post some more pictures when it is up there! :)

The kids are even nice and let Lexi play! :)

My way of camping...

So, the first weekend of August, we were able to use Nathan's boss' cabin! It was sooo nice! This is way you are to camp! I will camp in a tent if I really need to, but a cabin is the best way. Running water, a kitchen, a shower..everything you could want!
We decided to go with some friends, the Wrights, who we have become close with this summer. Heidi and I have would take the kids swimming 2-3 times a week, and the kids would just play together! It was nice to get to know them a little better and spend some time with them! We enjoyed their company!
It was such a nice and relaxing weekend! Not having to worry about too much going on at home, and getting out of the heat! I don't think it got above 90 up in Showlow!
When we got there, the kids ran right out to the backyard! It had a basketball court, tampoline, swingset, grass, hammock, horsehoes, and a firepit! They played out their until we made them go to bed! It was so much fun to have them be able to play outside in the middle of summer! :0
There was also a Lake close by, so we went fishing and swimming in it!
Anyway, this post has a lot of pictures! enjoy!!
Lexi wanted to Lick her marshmallow....hmmmm....

Roasting Marshmallows! The kids thought it was great to make Smores! :)

The kids thought this was the best thing in the world! they all looked so cute in the Rhino!

Nate instructing the kids how to fish!

Getting ready to catch fish...

Scott did end up catching a Crawdad! And yes, it is hard to see in the picture, but it is there! kaylee also caught one, but I wasn't able to get a picture of that! oh well, it was cool! :)

Lexi really wanted to hold the worm! I was proud of her! :)

Scott and Jake trying to catch a fish! There were little tiny ones biting, but they would fall off after a little bit!

This was what happened about 30 minutes into fishing! The girls sure didn't think it was exciting anymore! :) Oh well, they sure did have fun!

Drew and Nate playing horseshoes! Heidi and I ended up winning 2 games out of 3! We are pretty awesome! :) but the guys put up a good fight that's for sure!

This was the backyard! It was amazing! Scott and Jake had such a good time playing basketball! it was great!

The kids eating ice cream before we left! We had to eat it before we left because it would melt before we got home!

Our little family! :)

All the kids right before we were leaving...for some reason we couldn't get a good picture! Oh well, we had such a good time! :) this is the BEST way to camp!
